Midnight Madness Hits YU
BY JOEL JACOBSON
Midnight Madness at Yeshiva University is quickly becoming a popular annual event at the Max Stern Athletic Center. On Sunday, October 28, Yeshiva University students will be entertained with an event usually reserved for fans of big name universities. Midnight Madness, for those who are not familiar, is an interactive varsity basketball practice that is open to all students . Beginning at 11:30, there will be free pizza and drinks outside the gym in addition raffle tickets will be given out for student competitions. Following the refreshments, the Y.U. basketball team will be introduced and will showcase their various talents with a short scrimmage, slam dunk contest and three point shooting contest. Some fans will be randomly picked to participate in a number of competitions with a chance to win a variety of prizes. Last year’s event was attended by nearly four hundred students. With more pizza and prizes to be given away this year , it promises to be an exciting evening. All students are encouraged to participate in cheering on their team.
