![]() Adam CohenCandidate for Junior Class PresidentYour life is more difficult than it has to be. Every year the Student Senate makes new rules to make your life more difficult in order to improve their resumes! The list of Student Senate creations is long, and it includes the rule that stops YU students from taking many courses, specifically English Literature, over the summer in your local community college. They also started the test bank, a direct assault on mesorah. What is their motivation? They want to tell the graduate schools that they are applying to that they helped improve the level of education in their school. I say they are trying to step on us in order to enhance their own personal gain. The worst part of it all - the Student Senate makes decisions, and claim that they represent the students of YU, but the students don't get to choose who represents them! Each year, the outgoing Senate elects the incoming Senate, ensuring that the students themselves never get to choose who represents them! And then the Senate turns on us, and makes our lives more difficult. Now we have a chance to fight back. I am running for Junior Class President, and my goal is to stop the Student Senate from affecting students' lives
against our wishes. I am willing to take them head on if you give me the
chance - Adam Cohen for Junior Class President.
