![]() Daniel DrabkinCandidate for YCSC President
As a Cast Member on YCDS's production of Lord of Flies (just call me Bill), I have had the opportunity to enjoy your company in an informal setting. As the Editor-in-Chief of our undergraduate yearbook, The Masmid, I have done something that unfortunately is often not: I have made a yearbook. We have reached our goal of raising over $25,000 (this year, YCSC has asked me for funds!) and have already submitted two sections of the yearbook to the printer. The yearbook will be available by September, complete with graduation and senior dinner pictures. As a Senator on the YC-SSSB Student/Faculty Senate, I have worked with student and administrative leaders to take a bold leap in the quality of our education: to create the online Mesora Testbank. As YCSC President, I will continue to work on your behalf to improve student life. The following is a list of just a few of things I would like to do: Opening the library on Motzei Shabbat. Arranging an agreement with an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to provide YU students with discounted access to the internet. Working with Food Services to allow an option for one of the two side dishes to be french-fries and extending caf hours on Thursday night passed 8:00 PM. Funding more trips, inter-campus events, and midterm/final late-night nosh. Working with Facilities Management to install new, double-paned windows in Furst Hall and Morg. Working with YU officials to enforce the closure of Amsterdam Avenue during the day. Pushing harder for final implementation of the too-long-awaited Online Registration System. Increasing the number of vans to midtown. Making van service to airports a solid program. Installing a 24-hour accessible photocopying machine in Belfer. It isn't hard to make a difference. All it takes is commitment. I have already
been making a difference for three years, and I am excited to continue
working with you and on your behalf next year as YCSC President.
