Moish Schmerler

Candidate for Senior Class President

[Moish Schmerler]For everyone who doesn't know me my name is Moish Schmerler, and I am running for Senior Class President. As a student here, I have always had the same questions everyone else here has. Why doesn't YU seem like they care about the students? As a person who has been involved in the past working with YU administration, I know they do, but only if you have a student leader who will fight for you, a student who knows how to get things done.

How do you know Moish is going to gets things done might you ask. You don't have to look farther back then the last project I ran - the Inter-Campus Shaloch Manot ( Yes I was the one who was selling them at the SOY Seforim Sale). As a student who will work hard for you, I feel that I will represent the students as Senior Class President Things will get done.

When one runs for office people usually ask what platforms is this guy running on. Free Dougie's? Yes, but I have other platforms as well.

This year I am the senior dinner chairman. As the chairman I have been very involved in senior class events. I know what takes to run the senior class. I hope I can improve on the changes we made this year for the senior class and make the Senior class of 2000 the best ever.

In closing, everyone has an extreme right and obligation in this election to make the right choice. As Senior Class President my door would always be open. If anyone wants to contact me, they can email me at Moish33@aol.com, because as a student council leader, your first and only obligation, is to the students of this University, not to its President.

Wishing you all the best and hoping you will make the right choice. I hope I can serve this University into the next millennium.
