Mac Madness On Tuesday, November 16th, the Athletic Department held its third annual Mac Madness, the Yeshiva version of Midnight Madness, a yearly pep rally taking place at most universities across the nation. [Though there weren't any overly muscular guys throwing and balancing a bunch of smiling scantily clad girls, Yeshiva's introduction of its athletic teams was a big success.] As The Commentator's own Alex Traiman manned the microphone, each of the ten athletic teams were called to the center of the newly finished court of the Melvin Furst Gymnasium and were duly recognized. Macabee Basketball Preview
Following a formidable 16-7 record in the 1998-99 season, the Macs will be looking forward to producing an even better record as they open the regular season against United States Merchant Military Academy at Kings Point on November 21st. Although the Macs posted a very good record last year, they failed to qualify for any post season tournament as they were an independent team with no affiliation to any conference.Click for full text

What's A Mets Rangers Fan to Do? Yankees' left fielder Chad Curtis caught the final out of the 1999 World Series, sealing the four game sweep of the Atlanta braves for the Yanks' third championship in four years. Millions of Yankee fans across the city rejoiced as the "Team of the Century" with 25 World Series wins in the 1900's was now the "Team of the Decade" as well.
