Strike Enters Third Day With Silence
Wednesday, May 1, Wilf Campus -- An eerie quiet permeated Yeshiva's Wilf Campus this morning as the streets were emptied of striking union members for the first time since the now three-day-old strike began.

Friday, April 26 -- Yeshiva’s 1199 Manhattan Union and Director Labor Relations Steven Mayo released separate statements today, indicating their perspectives on the negotiations currently under way. The two statements indicated what Commentator sources have termed a “very wide gap” between the two parties.

WILF CAMPUS, APRIL 23 -- Yeshiva University’s Manhattan 1199 Union members voted to authorize a strike today, with ninety-five percent of the votes favoring the action.

Best and Brightest Honored at Jewish Studies Convocation
Wilf Campus, April 17
-- Eighty students, faculty, and administrators filled Weissberg Commons this morning as Yeshiva University’s Jewish Studies Schools honored their brightest students at the annual Honors Convocation.  In the hour-long ceremony, deans bestowed awards upon students from the three undergraduate Jewish studies programs, the James Striar School, Isaac Breuer College, and the Stone Beit Midrash Program.

Yeshiva Students Attend Solidarity Rally
Washington, DC, April 15Over two thousand students from Yeshiva University attended the rally in support of Israel here today.  Deemed an unequivocal success, the gathering drew more than two hundred thousand people.

Dr. Walter S Wurzburger passed away on April 15, 2002, after undergoing heart surgery.  

Advisory Committee Meets as Search Continues

At a full meeting of the Advisory Committee, the body created to draft qualifications for Yeshiva University’s fourth president, Search Committee Chairman Michael Jesselson reported on the progress of the process and announced that there would be more dialogue with the Advisory Committee in coming weeks.

WILF CAMPUS, APRIL 12 With the voting completed at an undisclosed meeting late last night, the official release of the nominations for the Yeshiva College Dramatics Societys Annual Awards Ceremony honoring the casts and crews of the 2001 - 2002 season came just moments ago.

WILF CAMPUS, APRIL 11 The undergraduate schools of Yeshiva University have released their course schedule for the Summer of 2002. While the Schottenstein Honors Program Summer Abroad has been cancelled for the second year in a row, the colleges are offering a wider rage of classes hoping to bring more first time students into the summer program.

Rabbi Israel Miller, senior vice president of Yeshiva University, dies at 83
Rabbi Miller was a prominent spokesman for American and World Jewry, communal leader and a role model at Yeshiva University for over twenty-five years.
