Midtown Shuttle Section Rabbi Walter Wurzburger passed away on April 18th, having served the Jewish community faithfully for more than sixty years, specifically requesting that he not be eulogized.... The following speech was delivered by Rabbi Wurzburger on Yom Kippur of 1943.... He probably headed more organizations that I know of, and founded many of them. But what was very special about his leadership is that as a vibrant and prominent Orthodox Rabbi, he functioned in the broader Jewish Community, not only for the benefit of Orthodox Jews, but for Kelal Yisrael.... Syms and YC Valedictorians Differ Widely Zev Bannett Yeshiva College’s annual valedictorian selection process has come and gone, implementing a system developed over the past few years on the advice of the Student Faculty Senate to ensure the choice of the most appropriate candidate. In just the second year in its current state, the process has evolved from a simple majority vote to a two-tier election where both academic excellence and school involvement are considered.... Political Science Department Turns Eye to Latin America Commentator Staff With the world’s attention focused on Afghanistan and the Middle East, the public has paid little attention to events occurring in South America over the past six months. While people concentrate on the War on Terror and the hunt for Osama Bin Laden, the Argentinean economy collapsed in December as unemployment in that country rose to a staggering fifty percent and a number of Presidents resigned....
