How awesome is it that we are the wildest month of the year. And leave it to us to live up to the marbeen be'simcha standards of Adar. This whole month has been and will be a wild roller-coaster. I don't even know where to begin. The sophomore class led by Matt Zimmelman and Miriam Kavakarian put together the best ski trip that we have ever had. All who attended the trip couldn't wait to find out when the next one will be. Congratulations to both of them for such a successful program. The Iranian club as well spearheaded a vivacious trip to Washington that lasted 4 days!!! Where else can you find this kind of trip for $100? Chazak U'Varuch to the Club Presidents and Co-Chairmen who coordinated the phenomenal trip.
The paintball club is putting itself on the map now with a full day trip to the ultimate paintball arena. It just doesn't stop here! Who could forget the rocking Rosh Chodesh Adar concert that featured C. Lanzbom and Noah Solomon. I can still hear "Oz V'Hadar" ringing in my head. And then a surprise Midnight Cholent tish starring Simply Sefas. Sometimes one could forget that we're even in school because of all the fun we're having. Yashar Koach to Jonathan Mantell and Yummy Shachter for throwing that great extravaganza.
The Canadian club just keeps on going and going leading a fun-filled ice skating night in Rockefeller Center. A whopping 75 students attended it. It gives everyone such a great feeling to see all these events happening on campus. Kein Yeerbu to all. All I can say is... GLADIADAR IS GOING TO BE HUGE!!! Thursday night, the 28th, will be a night of endurance and physical strength. There will only be on Gladiadar at the end of the night. Don't miss it!
On a bit of serious note, a lot of students have been talking to me about the new transportation service between uptown to midtown. I want all the students to know that right now, all your concerns are being addressed and the administration and Student Services are being extremely helpful and cooperative. Hopefully within a few days, the situation will be rectified and the student body will be fully pleased with the transportation system.
Congratulations to the newly-elected Associate Vice President Gennady Gellman. We welcome you aboard and your reputation that you have already with the students on both campuses truly precedes you. We look forward to working with you. We also wish VP Mikey Butler a refuah shelema and we are all happy to hear things are going positive. We miss you Mikey and hope you get right back into the swing of things here very soon.
Naftali Levenbrown, Gary Snitow, Ilan Rosenrauch and the rest of the crew really executed a Seforim Sale par-excellance and we have the utmost Hakaras Hatov to you guys for it.
The feeling on campus is strong and positive. I can feel it just walking through the halls of the café and hearing "Gladiadar!" being shouted. A famous poet once wrote, "When you're on the right track, joy travels with you." Let's keep the fun going and have a Chodesh B'Lev Simcha.
See You in the Sumo Wrestling Ring and a Freiliche Purim to All!
