Yeshiva College Alum Alex Remer’s New Exhibit, “Go Fish”

On March 2nd, Yeshiva College graduate Alexander Remer opened an exhibit of his artwork at Artland, a small bar/gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The exhibit is the first by a recent Yeshiva graduate in memory. Remer’s works are on display until the end of March. Here is a sampling from his exhibit.

Go Fish

I am not interested in defining Art, rather the lack of definition draws me.
Sensorially, the form of the subject is literal.
The individual, inundated with pathways, grows to expect understanding fluidly or exits for a more comfortable existence.
Whichever medium I decided upon captures the physical reality and heads towards an unknown destiny – a lasting impression.
Our dichotomy is being both bound and unbound.
I find no limit to the motion of these pieces.
The subject is not mine.
Language reflects intellect, consciousness –
Arch enemy of the Animal!
If my tongue dictates the content I lose.
Authenticity. Alex Remer.
